My Unit Trust Investment as of 20th March 2020

So what happened last week?

Locally, Movement Restriction Order that was announced by our Prime Minister, in my opinion, had impacted the economy, especially for the SME. It also impacted those businesses that require meeting people daily. I’m sure the government will announce something to mitigate this. Sure enough, they did, in the form of using contributor own EPF fund. There’s no right or wrong to this. I have my own opinion but I will talk about that on a different post.

There’s also chaos globally. Everybody is trying to contain the spreading of COVID-19 virus. It’s already bad enough that airlines have to ground a lot of their fleet. This, in turn, reduces the demand for fuel. Then the crude oil price also went down. Now with movement restriction imposed around the world, consumer demand on fuel also dropped.

How did I do last week?

My investment value is down to -1.66% as compared to 2.35% last week. If I didn’t do my portfolio rebalancing, my investment value would be at -8.56%. How is your investment doing?
