Into Survival Mode

Have been planning for this since 2016. Back then, I realised that the organisation I work for was closely related to the previous government, coupled with people’s perception that year, makes me decide to prepare for a backup plan. So in 2016, after meeting up with my insurance agent and unit trust agent, I decided to try out these two industry.

So in April 2016, I managed to get two licences; rather 3 licenses actually but from 2 different industry, which is Life Insurance, Takaful and Unit Trust. I’ve been doing it part-time ever since, up until this month. Because in November last year I have tendered in my resignation 1 year earlier than what I originally planned. Originally I planned to not continue my 3-year work contract that ends on April 2020. But certain circumstances made me decide to end it earlier. With remaining annual leaves that I still have, I have started working for myself starting early of this month.

I must be a fool to quit now and venture into something which is new to me, plus during economic uncertainties. But being in an organisation that I don’t see me going anywhere makes me decide to end it. Sure I’ll be struggling outside but better outside than inside. At least there’s a light at the end of this tunnel that I choose.

I’ve created a new Twitter account, new Facebook Page and new Instagram account, specifically for the business I’m venturing in. Feel free to follow me. I still keep the old ones, mainly for personal use and just maybe for this blog, might also be blogging about the industry I’m in. Since I have ample of time recently, why not? I can do this!
