New Life

Life begin at 40 so they say. Yes, I turned 40 last April. Been meaning to blog about it but life was in the way. So many things happened from early of this year (my last post) until today.

For starter, I have a daughter now. Which mean my time are now divided for both my son and daughter. Both are handful. I think it’s because the name that my wife and I choose. We choose Mohamed Thaqif because it means “clever”, “understand easy” and we want him to have Prophet Mohammad’s virtues. We choose Nayla Medina because it means “winner”, “go-getter”, “gracious”, “charitable” and the city of Medina where Prophet Mohammad expand his teaching of Islam. Good name and easy to write on Immigration form when entering a county for vacation.

I’m also venturing into new territory, one that’s so new to me. I’m trying to get out from the normal eight to five routine so I could spend more time with my children. Funny that I read this kind statement coming from a mommy post and seldom from a daddy post. But then again, there’s few of us dad who write blog do we now. Anyway, you’ll be reading about my new venture of mine in this blog also.

Until then.
