Welcoming 2009 MTB style

While other’s celebrating New Year by having barbeque or get oneself drunk silly or whatever you folks out there do, I went cycling, not the normal on road cycling, but off road cycling. Yes folks, I went off road, together with Jadda and Adam. Jadda have to cancel his barbeque program late afternoon yesterday because everyone has their own plan. Since the sky is clear, clearer than the day before where we originally planned to cycle at night but was cancelled because it rained, so we decide to cycle tonight!

We meet up at Sodomon Jetty somewhere near Petagas at about 9pm and start cycling 45 minutes after that. The air was quite cool last night, didn’t really sweat at all. We cycle from our rendezvous point, cycled through paddy field going to Dongongon where we stop by at Senario Café to rest and have our supper. Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is not a health conscious group. Life’s to short to be thinking about that. At least we have stamina, hearts pumping, have to get that ticker running.

There was a pub above where we sat showcasing transvestite doing a few sexy dance. We didn’t see it but from the sound of the crowd cheering, must have been something. “They must be doing the pole dance.” Jadda said and we laugh. We continue our “covert ops” and stopped again in the middle of the paddy field again because of “enemy shells” hahaha. It was 11:45 and the fireworks have already started. So we decide to stop. Man, there is fireworks all around us. We took picture what ever we can, I even have to take a video, there were too many fireworks. It felt like we were in the middle of a war zone.
