Deathly tune from a brightly coloured mushroom

Russula, a genus where some 750 worldwide species of mycorrhizal mushrooms compose of, are typically common, fairly large, and brightly coloured. I guess that’s why my brother Hanafiah (whom recently held his wedding reception) and band member named their band to a mushroom. I think it’s a poisonous mushroom.

Have not been into a jamming studio for quite some time now, if I remember correctly, the last time I was in a studio was in 2002. I remember it because my ex colleague and her husband force me to sing Cinta by Flop Poppy, and I didn’t play any instrument. The last time I played any instrument was in 2000. I remember this because I was introduced to a middle aged bass player from a well know local band (KK based band, can’t remember the name), who are interested to form a female fronted band. Since my sister Nadiah and I love to listen to No Doubt, so we thought why not? But it didn’t last because I was thinking of my carrier as an engineer at that time. We only jammed twice I think.

This time around, I just want to get the feeling of being in a studio, listening to loud devilish sound they called ROCK! The sound of a guitar has a calming effect on me, especially acoustic guitar. I haven’t been playing my guitar for quite some time now, just a few riffs from my favourite song, and even if I can play, my brother was playing Pantera, didn’t know any of their song. So I do what I do best, photographing. My brother Rizal just played standard chord, following whatever the bassist code is. I wonder if we can revive Blind Element or EDM? It’s the name of our band, comprises myself on lead, Rizal on rhythm, Zul on bass and Hanafiah on drum. I think Hanafiah is out, he has Russula now. Maybe a new one, probably myself on lead, Rizal on rhythm, Nadiah on bass and we don’t have a drummer hehehe. Just a thought, a mere thought. *sigh*
