Hit and run

Was it me or the Toyota Prado that I’m using is a very unlucky car. Twice this month that it got hit by other vehicle. TWICE! And it wasn’t even moving. It was just parked outside of my house. What’s up with that?

The first time was during the third day of Hari Raya. We were having an open house so it was parked outside, just by the side of the road. While I was busy upstairs filling in the ‘Angpow’ packet, a bike (some say it was a scooter) ram the back of that Prado, manage to move the heavy with handbrake on Prado, two feet forward, nearly crashing to my uncle’s Kancil. Either people have mistook a bike with an elephant or it was a very high speed impact to have be able to move that Prado. I would like to believe an elephant ram it. That would mean I get to keep the elephant for a while, until the owner fixed my car. Unfortunately, it was the latter. According to eye witnesses (was just my uncles sitting outside), a speeding bike with 2 person on it was speeding, and it seems that it was chased by a white Iswara Aeroback. Now bare this in mind, there were cars parked on both side of the road, barely allowing just one vehicle to pass through. Just when the bike and Iswara reached the front on my house, the Iswara ram the side of the bike (deliberately mind you) causing the bike crashing onto the back of Prado. Iswara just ran away, the lady passenger ran away at a opposite direction, the bike rider got up to his feet, ride his or her bike (I’m quite sure the bike was really damaged from the crash) went off to the opposite direction, I’m guessing going after the lady passenger.

Now, the second incident was last night. It was park outside again. I was getting my stuff from the other car. Its not my car, was a project car. OK? Now, after getting my stuff I heard loud crack sound. I turn looking to where the sound originated, and I saw my neighbour just came out from their house and drove off slowly. I went to investigate what it was. Yeap, the front left side of the Prado was, deformed more suitable. What a luck.

I made two conclusions last night.
  1. The Prado would get involve into an accident every Hari Raya (I’ll tell about it in my next post)
  2. Never park at the roadside in front of my house

  • Adehhh …. sampai begitu skali. You’re right. Do not park your car at the roadside, who knows there might be more lunatics out there who’ll ram into your car.
